Durham Education Group’s International Summer School provides varied and stimulating lessons in English. Upon arrival, every student will be tested and allocated into various multi-national classes, which will never exceed 15 students each and are based on the students’ ability.

To aid and assist in fast development of the English language, a big aim of ours is to increase self-confidence in the ability of the students to communicate in a multi-national environment.

Each and every student will receive up to 15 hours of English lessons each week, taught by our Summer School Tutors who are not only highly qualified but also extremely experienced.

Durham Education Groups’ Special Interest Package

We provide modern day language teaching skills, which helps the students to develop English that is practical and useful. Therefore the syllabus of our International Summer School is strongly focused on fluency and communication, as well as relevant to the needs of each individual student.

Special Interest Courses (Code: DEG/SI)

Special interest activities include a multitude of subjects such as cricket, soccer, boxing, dance, floristry, horse riding, cookery, agriculture, horticulture or even arboriculture which can be arranged into your timetable for a minimal charge.

Day Trips

When learning or trying to improve your grasp of a new language it’s important to put your new skills into practical real context, day trips enable students to practice their English in this way.

Progress and Reports

During their stay, each student’s progress will be closely monitored, and when students are ready to depart, a Durham Education Group International Summer School Certificate will be awarded, along with a progress report.
